The results are in…….
We ran the Translink Travel Challenge from 29th May 2019 for two weeks.
We recorded the Journey to School for all children in Key Stage 2, that is Primary 5, 6 and 7.
Primary 5 increased their ‘sustainable journeys’ from 9% to 32%
Primary 6 increasing their ‘sustainable journeys’ from 11% to 28%
Primary 7M increasing their ‘sustainable journeys’ from 12% to 21%
Primary 7F increasing their ‘sustainable journeys’ from 5% to 15%
ALL CLASSES surveyed have thought about how to make use of more sustainable means of transport and made some changes in how they travel to school. Well done!
We also introduced our WALKING BUS which will continue to run on FRIDAYS in June.
Up to 40 children have made use of this and enjoyed the walk down to school.
This has helped to reduce the number of cars around the school gates on a FRIDAY morning.
